Hand-dyed silk velvet scarf. A bit of luxury for a special person.
Dyed using a Japanese resist technique called shibori. The fabric was concertinaed onto a piece of tubing and dyes applied. The result is variation in colour across the piece.
Silk velvet feels soft to the skin and wears well. Fibre reactive dyes have been used, which are bright and don’t fade.
Hand wash, separately at first. Can be ironed on the reverse.
